The injuries are mounting for Georgia. Both running back Keith Marshall and wide receiver Justin Scott-Wesley will miss the remainder of the season with torn ACLs. These are huge losses for the Bulldogs considering Marshall is second on the team in rushing yardage and Scott-Wesley is second in receiving yardage.
The team already lost it’s number 1 receiver, Malcolm Mitchell to a knee injury from a celebration. In addition to that, their best running back, Todd Gurley missed the last game with an ankle injury and is not guaranteed to come back next week. The team is in trouble but Mark Richt said they have to just battle:
“We’ve just got to dig deep and give some other guys opportunity, get them repped up and make some plays.”
Right now UGA is 4-1 with an outside track to the National Championship but with these injuries, it will be a tough road. Right now they will have to just hope the young guys are ready to go now and they get Todd Gurley back next week.
