Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant have had some epic matchups since both came on the scene in 1995.
I was privy to a few of those matchups before the two were even in the NBA.
Iverson has since retired but the two still have a great relationship, and an amazing amount of respect for one another based off those thrilling games played.
Iverson sat down with Bleacher Report to talk about Bryant and his comeback. Asked if Bryant could comeback and be the same, the Answer said “Hell, yeah,” Iverson said. “He gonna be Kobe.”
“If he can’t kill, he’s not going to do it,” Iverson told Bleacher Report’s Lance Fresh. “You don’t have to worry about Kobe Bryant. I mean, that killer is in him regardless. If he had to go out there and play in a wheelchair, he’d be the best player in a wheelchair you’ve ever seen. So you don’t have to worry about Kobe. If he’s out there, then he’s ready to be out there and he’s going to be Kobe Bryant.”
You’d have to be a full to believe that the crumpled version of Kobe grasping at his Achilles would be the last you saw of him.
