The Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos will play what some are dubbing the game of the year, when the two teams with 17 combined wins, and one loss do battle on Sunday.
According to the Denver Post, a woman, dubbed the “Wedding Ring Lady,” has gone viral with her attempts to get tickets to the huge Broncos-Chiefs matchup, by trading an old wedding ring of hers.
The Kansas City Chiefs fan put up a Craigslist ad looking to trade her wedding ring (appraised at $3,100), for two tickets to the Chiefs’ home game, in order to treat her husband as a 40th birthday present, according to sources.
She clarifies that the ring is from a previous marriage.
That’s where WRL’s email clarified things: It’s a ring from a previous marriage. So no, her husband would not be mad, and no, he might not even recognize it. Suddenly this all sounds a hundred times saner, a hundred times more practical. WRL wrote in the email that the ring “holds no value to me and is a lot easier to part with over tickets than handing that much cash over for the tickets.”
WRL said that she has indeed had some offers for her barter, but she’s turned them down. She’s currently working with someone on an offer that she likes, and she said that she should know if it’s all going to work out in the next day or so.
Anyone want to help her out?
