Today at his weekly Monday press conference Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini was asked about his starting QB Taylor Martinez’ status to return this season. The news was not good for the senior or Husker fans:
Pelini on possibility of a Taylor Martinez return this year: "I don't know if the chances are real good." Foot injury is main culprit.

It’s always sad to see a senior end his career on an injury. Martinez had an up and down career at Nebraska and it will be interesting how he is viewed moving forward. He did lead the team to two division titles but couldn’t quite “win the big one.” It looks like the future starts now with Tommy Armstrong and Ron Kellogg III.
