Juan Manuel Marquez’s fate in boxing has been a question for some time now, but according to Bleacher Report, Marquez’s trainer Nacho Beristain, finally made it clear that Marquez will only remain in boxing to fight Timothy Bradley. Nacho made it clear that Marquez has no interest in any other fights.
“I talked to Juan Manuel. He said that he has thought about his career and he believes that the only thing that is attractive to stay in the ring is a rematch with Bradley. He would like to do that fight in Mexico. He wants to speak with Zanfer and Top Rank in order to bring it to the Arena in Mexico City. But if not, Juan is ready to go wherever he is told, to America, wherever they want to do that battle. Marquez is not interested in another fight against Manny Pacquiao or any other opponent. If he does not get Bradley, he will retire from boxing.”
Last month Bradley won a split decision in Vegas over Marquez, but Marquez felt that he was robbed. No word from Bradley’s camp on whether we can expect a rematch.
