I guess when you’re only shooting 22% on the season, you’re subject to getting sent back to the bench.
Things aren’t great for the Knicks right now. After losing Tyson Chandler, the team has struggled to stop anybody and has suffered blowout loses to the Atlanta Hawks and San Antonio Spurs. Apparently, J.R. Smith might be the one who is taking the blame.
22% on the season and only 26% from beyond the ark, the reigning Sixth Man of the Year has struggled by nearly every metric possible. This troubling start after Smith went ice cold in the Knicks last few playoff games as well. Head coach Mike Woodson is reportedly ready to make some changes, per Ian Begley of ESPN New York:
After the game, Mike Woodson said he’d consider lineup changes, including sending Smith back to the bench.
“I’m going to continue to shuffle and do things that I think is right by our team to try to find the right combinations to win,” Woodson said.
