It’s been a season of heartache for the St. Louis Rams. The team has suffered some tough defeats and not to mention, their starting quarterback Sam Bradford went down for the year.
Continued frustration is bound to boil over at some point and for veteran William Hayes, his breaking point was after the 28-21 defeat last Sunday to the Titans.
Hayes smashed a mirror in the locker room and was forced to get stitches.
“You know I’m passionate about the game, about my teammates,” Hayes said Wednesday. “I know every guy in this locker room was a little frustrated after the game. And I kind of let my feelings out, probably in a way I shouldn’t have. There’s a way to do things, and I probably took things a little too far.”
Whatever was in the way at the time was going to feel Hayes’ wrath.
“The mirror was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I kind of took it a little overboard. Emotions came out and got the best of me.”
The (3-6) Rams travel to Indy this Sunday.
