Rockies and Cardinals Discuss Possible Trade For Troy Tulowitzki
Could the Rockies be parting ways with Tulo?
The GM/Owner’s meetings taking place in Orlando this week are where the Cardinals will do their best to get the Rockies to open up about the possibility of trading Tulowitzki.
The Cards have shown very high interest in the All-Star shortstop, along with Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus. Rockies owner Dick Monfort last month explicitly said that they would had every plan to keep Tulo, but at what a price? Rockies still owe him $134 million for the next seven years.
Cardinals have the pieces in place to make a legitimate move for his services, and Monfont has implied in the past, issues with Tulo’s leadership abilities and the limitations of having a high payroll, a move could definitely be possible.
Tulowitzki has been the best shortstop in the league, placing him in a stacked Cardinals team would set the NL hotstove into full gear.
