Washington Wizards head coach Randy Wittman has been fined $20k by the NBA for using profanity in an interview following a 109-102 loss to the 76ers according to theĀ Washington Post.

Full of frustration from his team’s lack of defense, the coach blasted his players’ efforts explaining why they have not been successful saying,

“Commitment to f—ing playing defense. That’s what it is. The thing they haven’t learned, and I got to figure out a way. You could see it coming out of the locker room. You’ve got to respect the game, your opponent. … Everything you get is `No, we’re OK.’ We’re not OK. We’re 0-2. We’re not OK.”

I have had theĀ pleasure of watching the Washington Wizards play and in Wittman’s defense I think he took it light on his players. Apparently the NBA thought different when they fined him $20k for his foul language.
