It’s been a year since the tragedy of Sandy Hook Elementary took place, but most people have not forgotten what happened. Pistons C Andre Drummond is one of those that will never forget. According to CBS Sports, Drummond tweeted that he will be donating his game jersey to the school.

Drummond attended high school in Connecticut and also attended the University of Connecticut for one year before entering the NBA. Though nothing will ever bring back the lives that were lost, the fact that Andre Drummond is keeping the tragedy close to his heart speaks volumes so that communities can take action to assure that nothing like that will happen again.
