Antrel Rolle has taken on quite the leadership roll with the New York Giants, and is far and away the teams vocal leader at this point.
Rolle has one year left on his contract and is currently scheduled to cost the Giants $9.25 million against the salary cap in 2014. With so many unrestricted free agents to focus on, Rolle told the media that he would accept a contract extension from the Giants to help create some cap room.
“If that’s what they want to do, I’ll do it,” Rolle said Monday. “I would like to retire as a Giant. The ultimate goal is an extension and add more years to my deal so I can stay a part of this organization. I know easily I have four years left.”
The Giants could use the room, but Rolle has hit that 30 year old mark where players start to hit a decline.
