As we’ve previously reported, the talk around Rex Ryan was that he probably would be retained despite not making the playoffs for three straight seasons.
According to Pro Football Talk, Jets owner Woody Johnson has announced that Ryan will return as head coach.

There has been talk about the length of Ryan’s extension and whether or not he would have to make changes to his staff.
According to reports, Ryan was made aware of his status before his team went out and ruined the Dolphins playoff chances.
