Somewhere in America Monday night, a person playing fantasy football was losing his game and a shot to win a championship with only his kicker left to play.
If you had Ravens kicker Justin Tucker last night, you did really, really well.
The Ravens kicker accounted for all 18 of his team’s points in an 18-16 win over the Detroit Lions on Monday night. He made kicks from 29, 24, 32, 49, 53, and a booming bomb from 61 yards out with 38 seconds left to lift his team to victory.
In his postgame interview with ESPN, Tucker admitted he owns himself in fantasy football and gave a shoutout to all the other people who own him.
“We kick six field goals and win the game. I’m happy to do it — don’t get me wrong — and my fantasy team is benefiting from it as well. So I’m happy about that. Fantasy owners around the world, I hope you appreciate the points as well. To sum it up in one word: pandemonium.”
