New York Knicks players are rushing to the aid of Mike Woodson, and why shouldn’t they.
One season after winning 54 games, the Knicks have lost 9 straight, and may be a loss to the Nets away from seeing head coach Mike Woodson fired.
Some players have made different comments about Woodson’s future, but according to Newsday, Kenyon Martin put it best.
“It’s about us caring and giving a —-, man,” Martin said. “That’s what it boils down to.”
We need to go out and win a game,” Martin said. “The man does an excellent job with us. It’s not on him because we’re not getting wins right now. We’re prepared each and every day. He puts us in the best situation, the best scouting report and everything to go out and perform and we’re just not getting it done on the court, so it’s on us.”
Well the 3-13 Knicks better man up and beat the embattled Nets, or it could be so long to Woodson.
