If Mack Brown is going out at Texas, it seems like it won’t be without a fight. According to Bruce Feldman of CBS, Mack Brown has said the following:

Well this just got even more interesting. Keep in mind though, that when it was first reported that the AD was stepping down, Texas came out and strongly denied that too. A day before he actually stepped down.

Has anyone (besides Mack) even considered the possibility of him staying at Texas?

Similar to the late Joe Paterno, Mack Brown doesn’t want to give up the power and prestige of being the head coach. I believe that the new Texas Longhorn A.D. should just fire him. Longhorn fans demand the national championship every year, not once in 16 years.

Nick Saban to University of Texas only a matter of time…
