Michigan State announced late last night that senior caption and star middle LB Max Bullough will be suspended from the team for the remainder of the season, which includes the Rose Bowl, according to M Live. Michigan State head coach Mark Dantanio released this statement to the media:
“Max Bullough has been suspended for the remainder of the season for a violation of team rules. It is extremely disappointing for all parties involved. We will stay focused and close ranks as we prepare for Stanford on January 1 in the Rose Bowl. Max will forever remain a Spartan and valued member in this team’s achievements.
“We will have no further comment on this issue.”
With the Spartans set to play #5 Stanford in the upcoming Rose Bowl, this definitely isn’t a good look for the team. Bullough’s backup is listed as senior Kyler Elsworth, who hasn’t seen much playing time this season. Things just got real scary for Michigan State’s defense.
