I know Rodgers wants to play and the Packers need him to play, but it isn’t worth risking his long-term health, so they may need to shut him down.

Multiple members of the Green Bay Packers organization have become pessimistic about Aaron Rodgers returning for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, a league source told ESPN.

While no final determination has been made on Rodgers’ status, a source told ESPN that the Packers doubt the star quarterback will be cleared to play after revealing Tuesday that he suffered pain in his left collarbone while making simple movements on the practice field last week.
