Fox Sports Ohio’s Sam Amico is now reporting that no team in the NBA has any interest in trading for Andrew Bynum, and sources say the Cavs are likely to release Bynum before January 7 when the $12.2 million he’s owed this season would be guaranteed.

Bynum signed a two-year deal worth $24.8 million with the Cavs prior to the season. Only $6 million of the $12.2 million he’s due this season is guaranteed if he is waived before Jan. 7.
The question now is whether or not the Heat, Clippers, or another contender want to try to sign, and also deal with the headache that is Andrew Bynum.
