It looks like the Miami Dolphins are preparing to cut all their losses and simply move on.
The Dolphins currently have four days to decide whether to bring back guard Richie Incognito or cut him. Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports that Incognito definitely won’t return to the team — after Sunday’s game or ever.
Salguero believes Incognito will go along with an effort to shut him down with pay, given that he did some things he shouldn’t have done.
As for Martin, I’m reporting his days with the Dolphins are finished as well. The Miami locker room that was clearly on Incognito’s side in this whole affair will not be a suitable place for Martin to make his return. He’ll be traded to the highest bidder at some point in the offseason.
Anybody willing to bid on Martin will first have to be convinced that he wants to play football, and that he can survive in their lockerrroom.
