During the playoff push every game is especially important for teams with post season hopes. Nothing could be more true for the Carolina Panthers, coming off a disappointing loss to division rival New Orleans, or for the NY Jets, who at 6-7 need to win every game if they have any chance at a wildcard berth.
The two teams will face each other this weekend. But considering Jets’ head coach Rex Ryan’s brother Rob, happens to lead a Saints defense that left Cam Newton and the Panthers offense nearly ineffective last week, NY may enter Bank of America stadium with a slight advantage.

“Oh yeah without question I’ve already talked to him,” Rex Ryan said on a teleconference Wednesday. “Our defenses are two different defenses, he has his own style, so do we. But again, without question I’ve already talked to him about the things he picked up. Just anything you would do against any opponent, but in particular he just played them this past week so I definitely already talked to him.”
The Saints did an excellent job containing Cam Newton, but the Jets defense isn’t as good. It will be interesting to see if a little brotherly advice will have much of an impact.
