Richard Sherman Says Refs Help 49ers Avoid Seahawks Blowing Them Out

If you’re wondering why the 49ers beat the Seahawks in Sunday’s matchup, then according to CBS Sports Richard Sherman says he has the answer. Sherman spoke to the media about the loss.

“We didn’t project it to be this way. We expected to blow them out but they got the benefit of a few calls tonight throughout the game and that helps you especially on third down, we will see them again and it will be a different result.”

Sherman was called twice for penalties on third down plays and blames the outcome of the game on the penalties. 49ers WR Anquan Boldin fired back at Sherman and his theories.

“It is what it is. That’s the way that I play. If guys want to pretend to be tough, then I look forward to it. Talking, that’s just what they do, you know what I’m saying? So, I let my play speak for itself.”

The NFL refs haven’t exactly had the best record this season, but that’s up to you to decide what was the reason for the Seahawks losing Sunday.

  1. What an idiot. Sherman got called on his BS on the field and now he is going to cry like a little girls. Man up!

    • Sherman is a moron! Finally the Hawks are called on some penalties and he crys like a baby!! The Hawks have been playing dirty all season and should have way more holding calls on them.

  2. I’d swear the Seahawk’s game-plan is to commit so many penalties the refs couldn’t possibly call all of them or the game would never end. So the refs call the most blatant and the rest are just a bonus to Seattle.
