I realize this is standard practice for major universities to do this now, especially when there is so much at stake. However, why does Patterson get paid what he does if he isn’t capable or willing to go out and hire his own football coach? I have always found this part of the process a bit odd.
With that being said, this committee and recruiting firm needs to get this right so that Texas doesn’t have a Ron Zook type hire.
