The Vikings are searching for an identity on offense, and their new offensive coordinator flourishes in that category.
Mike Zimmer knew exactly who he wanted to turn his teams offense over to the moment he was hired as the head coach in the twin cities.
Adrian Peterson, who is recovering from groin surgery, was asked his feelings on the acquisition of one of the NFL’s brightest offensive minds.
Peterson didn’t hold back when he told USA Today that Turner “is briliant,” and is the “perfect guy to get the Vikings offense on the right path.”
“I’ll tell you, our pass offense has really struggled in the past couple years,” Peterson said, via Tom Pelissero of USA Today. “I think [Turner] is going to be the perfect guy to come in and get us on the right path.”
Besides the two seasons with Brett Favre, the Vikings offensive passing game has always been anemic around Peterson. Turner should be the guy to change that.
Minnesota will definitely need an upgrade at the signal caller.
