After some concern from Bears fans over his comments about testing free agency, Charles Tillman took to Chicago radio to clear the air. Here is what he said to 670-AM’s Laurence Holmes:
“In a perfect world, I will finish as a Bear,” Tillman told 670-AM’s Laurence Holmes on Wednesday. “I guarantee you I will retire as a Chicago Bear. I guarantee that.”
“The Bears and I are in good spirits,” he said. “There’s no bad blood, there’s nothing. We are in good spirits. There’s no bad blood with myself or coach Trestman. Like, everything is good. We’re are all on good terms.”
Now Bears fans can breathe a bit easier if they were hoping the 33 year old Tillman was going to finish his career in Chicago. If he does return to the Bears, he will have to take a pay cut though so the Bears can keep rebuilding their defense.
