Alex Smith Didn't Agree With 49ers Benching.

The Kansas City Chiefs have their signal caller of the future, now all they need to do is get him signed for the future.

According to Jason Cole of the National Football Post, The Kansas City Chiefs will try to extend the contract of quarterback Alex Smith this off-season before he begins the final year of his current deal, a source said Wednesday.

Smith led the Chiefs from a 2-14 record and the first pick in the draft to 11-5 and a playoff berth.   He has one year left on a three-year contract he signed in 2012.
