Chip Kelly is the man.
I mean who else can turn giving himself a failing grade for turning a franchise from worst to first in their division. Kelly was speaking to the media for the final time and was asked to give an assessment, or a grade on his first season as coach of the Eagles.
Kelly according to the Philadelphia Inquirer gave himself a score of 58.8%. He explained his reasoning.
“That’s winning 10 games out of 17,” he said.
The response drew laughter from the media but I get the feeling that’s truly how Kelly looks at it. Kelly was 46-7 at Oregon, which grades out to 86%.
In all seriousness, Kelly did a terrific job in his first season.
