Feds Investigating Raiders After Cheerleader Pay Lawsuit

Remember the lawsuit we told you about last week that a Raiders cheerleader filed because she claimed they were only getting $5/hr? Well now the U.S. Dept. of Labor is on the case. TMZ had the details:

The U.S. Dept. of Labor has confirmed it’s looking into the team … just days after a Raiderette named Lacy T. filed a lawsuit saying she gets paid less than $5-an-hour to shake her pom-poms.

A rep for the Labor Dept. says it’s looking into the “entire cheerleading squad” … and not just the claims made by Lacy.

Remember in the original suit Lucy claimed they only make $1,250 a year and have all sorts of crazy fines.

It wouldn’t be the Raider’s without some sort of lawsuit or investigation though.

  1. While the Feds are at it, they should investigate the NFL claiming to be a non-profit business. Yes folks, while you’re watching the Super Bowl, think about the fact that the 32 NFL owners don’t pay their fair share of taxes! Enjoy Super Bowl Sunday, a day where the rich get richer while we sit back and watch.
