Ravens player sells his superbowl ring.

You may have never heard of Damien Berry, but he’s a former running back for the Baltimore Ravens. It hasn’t even been a full year yet and he’s already auctioning off his Super Bowl ring.

“This is a rare opportunity for a fan or a collector to own a Super Bowl ring less than a year after it was earned and one from a landmark NFL game,” Goldin Auctions founder Ken Goldin told the Ravens’ website.

Berry spent the entire 2012 season on injured reserve after spending the 2011 season on the Ravens practice squad. It was easy for Berry to sell his ring, since he didn’t contribute to it.

  1. nba is fixed says:

He is not the first player to sell his Super Bowl ring, and he definitely won’t be the last. By the way, practice squad players only make a few thousand dollars a day.

  2. BX2DaDeath says:

Practice squad players make about $10K per week.

    Money is tight…….
