New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nick is not entering free agency the way he would have liked. Nicks has spent the better part of the past two seasons battling injuries while worrying about a potential contract extension.
Despite the lack of production, the veteran wide receiver told the New York Post that he still considers himself one of the top wide receivers in the league, and will prove it this coming season.
WR Hakeem Nicks, headed to free agency after a disappointing (no TDs) season said, “I still consider myself one of the top receivers in this league and I’m going to go out and prove it.’’
For all of his struggles and injuries, Nicks did average 16 yards a catch this season, and caught 56 passes for 896 yards.
