Jon Jones is coming off the toughest fight of his UFC career against Alexander Gustafsson and his next fight looks just as difficult.
Jones will fight the #2 rated light-heavyweight, Glover Teixeira, at UFC 172 on April 26th.
Teixeira hasn’t lost a fight since 2005 (20 match win streak) and has proven to be just as dangerous with his submissions as he is with his hands. He isn’t as tall or lanky as Gustafsson, which gave Jones a lot of trouble, but he has the power to take Jones to the mat.
Jones will have to show that he can compete at an elite level on the ground if he wants to remain UFC champion now that a blueprint is out on how to slow him down.
