An oncampus shooting occurred on Tuesday at Purdue University inside the electrical engineering building. 21-year-old senior, Andrew Boldt, who also worked as a teaching assistant at Purdue, was identified as the sole victim in the school’s shooting. Such tragic situation could make it difficult for Purdue men’s basketball team to compete in their conference game against Northwestern. However, Northwestern’s fans made sure to let Purdue know that they are not alone.

A group of Northwestern students at Tuesday’s basktball game painted an uplifting message on their chest saying “Stand With Purdue.”

Times like this are special, when fans come together to support one another after tragic events. No matter how competitive we all are, at the end of the day every school will stand up for one another.
