Oregon RB De’Anthony Thomas Entering NFL Draft

DeAnthony Thomas

Oregon running back De’Anthony Thomas has declared for the NFL Draft. The Ducks’ speedster had a bit of a disappointing season with 594 rushing yards and 8 TDs, playing in ten games. Thomas came into the season as a Heisman contender but injuries and the emergence of Byron Marshall and Thomas Tyner limited his touches.

“I am officially withdrawing from the University of Oregon to pursue a professional career in the NFL,” Thomas said in a prepared statement Sunday. “I want to express my deepest appreciation and thanks to the University and all of my teammates, coaches and fans.  I look forward to staying connected to the University and visiting the sidelines as often as possible.”

  • He will have to bulk up and learn to hold on to the football. Speed wise, he is ready.
