The Oakland Raiders hold the fifth pick in this year’s draft, and the speculation around draft circles is that the Raiders may feel obligated to select a quarterback.
Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie spoke to the media on Thursday and admitted he was impressed with Texas A&M star Johnny Manziel.
McKenzie wouldn’t get into comparing Manziel to his peers, but did say that he was the kind of quarterback you try to get.
“He’s a playmaker. Whether its him or 1 of these other guys, when U can add a playmaker, that’s what you shoot for.” -McKenzie on @JManziel2

Johnny Manziel is going to be good for business and I think a lot of these NFL executives see and understand that. If Manziel can continue to play with the same vigor and effectiveness at the next level, he’s going to be box office.
