Nick Saban’s staff could be about to get even more loaded. According to Yahoo’s Rand Getlin, former USC interim Head Coach Ed Orgeron could be joining Alabama soon as the DL coach:

This would be a huge pickup for the Crimson Tide. Not only is Orgeron as great DL coach but he is a fantastic recruiter. If this is true, Saban isn’t just the best in the business at getting 5-star players but coaches as well.

I guess it doesn’t seem like Saban is ready to let go of the dynasty just yet.

  1. nba is fixed says:

While Orgeron is not a good head coach, he is a master at relating to 18 and 19 year old football players. This is a good pick up for the Crimson Tide. Now lane Kiffin being hired as offensive coordinator, terrible hire.

I disagree. When Lane Kiffin was an offensive assistant/coordinator at USC, the offense and recruiting was really good. Now unless you think that his head coaching career has poisoned any future assistant/head coaching opportunities, I think that Kiffin as a offensive coordinator (for the time being) is a great hire.
