I stay in Saint Louis, Missouri and it was pretty bad here, so I can only imagine how bad it was on the roads in the outlining areas.
The Southern Illinois Basketball team was trying to get home after a loss to Illinois State, but the roads were so bad, their bus driver had to pull for their own safety and now they are stranded. Sporting News collected the tweets showing their plight.

It is so dangerous that snow plows can’t come out. It is currently 7 degrees here and the temperature is dropping, so hopefully they have enough fuel and heat to last the night.
