Now that the Texas Head Coach search is heating up, the reports will start flying fast and furiously. According to statesmen.com, Texas has interviewed Louisville’s Head Coach Charlie Strong.
The American-Statesman has also confirmed previously published reports that Louisville’s Charlie Strong has officially interviewed with Patterson at an undisclosed location. But Patterson told Strong that the athletic director planned to visit with other candidates to replace Mack Brown as well.
Now that it seems like Texas has settled on realistic candidates, they should have a coach in place soon. Strong would be a good choice for them. It also might be the right time for him to leave now that Teddy Bridgewater has officially declared for the NFL Draft.
