The 60 Minutes interview to remember, lived up to its hype and then some.
Biogenesis founder/PED Peddler/MLB aide-de-camp/perhaps the shadiest man in America, Tony Bosch, spilled details into America’s living rooms on the extent of A-Rod’s performance enhancement drug usage.
Just one day removed from the announcement that MLB will move forward in suspending the disgraced Yankees slugger, commissioner Bud Selig, along with MLB key ‘witness’ Tony Bosch took to television to further drag A-Rod through the mud.
In the interview, Bosch gave explicit details on how and when he would inject A-Rod with the ‘stuff’ along with some other semi-outlandish accounts of an alleged plot to have him killed by A-Rod’s people. Here are some of the more memorable tidbits, via Deadspin
- Bosch claimed Rodriguez was scared of needles so he had Bosch inject him, including once in a bathroom stall at a Miami club.
- Bosch said Rodriguez paid him $12,000 a month to maintain a drug plan, one that included testosterone lozenges that could be taken before games and be undetectable in urine taken after the final out.
- Bosch claimed that once the shit hit the fan, Rodriguez’s camp alternately threatened his life and offered him bribes to stay silent.
Bosch then went on in detail about the series of blackberry messenger chats between he and A-Rod, in which they spoke in code about his drug regiment.
