Barbie is putting it all out there for the world to see in the 50th anniversary edition of SI’s annual ‘swimsuit edition’.
The self proclaimed ‘unapologetic’ toy known for her classic figure will grace the cover of the magazine. The magazine will also include the likes of Christie Brinkley and Brooklyn Decker.
The cover will feature the header ‘The doll that started it all’ . The controversy over the doll’s slim waist and ‘perfect’ features has always been hotly discussed, but in this issue Barbie is gladly flaunting her goods to the world.

Personally, I think the move is a shrewd one by SI, it gets more people talking which in turn gets more to buy–from a business stance it makes perfect sense.
Ultimately though, it is just a doll and we should all laugh more than anything else.
