Dana White wasted no time clearing up some of the rumors that followed UFC 169. UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo retained his title, but as soon as the fight ended rumors of him and lightweight champion Anthony Pettis began to fly.
Dana White spoke on this at the post fight press conference and specifically said, “It’s a Done Deal.” White also received a text from Pettis saying that he accepted the fight.
Pettis is currently recovering from a knee injury but should be ready for one of the UFC’s huge summer cards.
The other rumor cleared up by Dana White dealt with the return of Brock Lesnar.
“Brock Lesnar is not coming back…we don’t have a deal. He’s not coming back anytime soon.” -White
That’s as solid of an answer as White can give. The rumors arose when heavyweight Alastair Overeem called out Lesnar after his defeat of Frank Mir.
Lesnar looks pretty comfortable competing in the WWE right now and the paychecks are easier pretending to get your brains beat in than actually getting your head smashed open in the octagon.
