Sports Illustrated is reporting that the University of Florida and FSU have extended their yearly meeting at least until 2018. The contract which allowed Florida from the SEC and FSU from the ACC to have an annual meeting was set to expire after the 2014 season, but the two have reached an agreement that will keep this highly charged in-state rivalry going until 2018.
The first meeting happened in 1958 and since then, the pair has met 58 times with Florida holding a commanding lead in the victory column with a record of 34-22-2. FSU has won 3 of the last 4 meetings, however, so it will be interesting to see the upcoming years of the gridiron battles between the two schools.
