Florida State consistently brings in good recruiting classes just about every year. Maybe it’s because they get in on players early. For example they are currently recruiting a player for the class of 2019, RB Rashad Williams out of Charlotte, N.C. Here is what his dad told 247 Sports:
I got a call from (Buckner) saying Florida State really liked my son. That was last Thursday. FSU told him that my son has very good feet. He said Sal wants FSU to be the first ones to show interest in my son so when he starts looking at schools he knows FSU was the first one.
It’s very shocking and surprising to me. I never thought colleges would show interest in my son already when he was in middle school. It’s very shocking. They think my son is real good.
Looking at the video below, he does look like a good prospect. This really is a win-win for FSU though because they are right, if he goes on to be a huge prospect they were the first ones to come calling. It’s still crazy to think that kids are getting recruited to big time schools at age 13.
