In sports, your jersey # is often revered, and often times athletes will do something to show how important their jersey # is to them. In the case of Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon, it was to tattoo the #12, which is his jersey number, on his back according to Fansided.
This wasn’t your typical run of the mill, let me put my number somewhere noticeable but not out there tattoo. This was the tattoo to let everyone know that Josh Gordon wasn’t giving up the #12 to anyone anytime soon. Gordon was one of the best receivers in the NFL last season on one of the worst teams, but now he either has to hope he stays with the Browns for his entire career or never gets traded to the New England Patriots. Tom Brady holds the #12 for the Pats, and I would think that a fight between Brady and Gordon for the number would leave Gordon on the losing end of that battle.
