Kirk Cousins on Gays Athletes: It’s a Sin, but Nobody’s Perfect

Cousins is a devout Christian, so these comments aren’t surprising.

Curious how they would have been received if RG3 had said them (RG3 is also a devout Christian). Cousins spoke at a high school on Friday and here is what he had to say when asked about gay athletes in sports courtesy of MLive.com.

“Now, there are a lot of teammates in my locker room right now who may not have a homosexual lifestyle, but they have sins, too,” Cousins said. “They’re not perfect. So I don’t say they can’t help us win. Nobody’s perfect.“

It isn’t an uncommon opinion among Christians and one that should be respected.  If you want people to respect your opinion, you should respect others as long as it isn’t vulgar or demeaning.
