LeBron James was irate last year when he finished second to Marc Gasol for defensive player of the year. James has a scoring title, regular season MVP’s, finals MVP’s and etc.
The only thing missing from his trophy collection is defensive player of the year. He’s made it one of his goals this year and he should get a very good look at it.
LeBron is the only person in the NBA that guards all five positions. He did that exact thing last night in Los Angeles. James guarded everyone from Darren Collison to DeAndre Jordan.
“That’s why I should be Defensive Player of the Year,” James said. “No one has ever done this before.”
It’s hard to argue with the king here.
