According the official Major League Baseball website, the Cincinnati Reds and starting pitcher Homer Bailey have come to an agreement on a deal.
Reds pitcher Homer Bailey will definitely be part of the team’s rotation for the long haul. He and the club avoided arbitration Wednesday by agreeing to a six-year, $105 million contract, a source told MLB.com.
The deal comes with a mutual option for a seventh year worth $25 million with a $5 million buyout.
Bailey has a 49-45 record with a 4.25 ERA in 143 starts throughout his six-year career with the Reds.
