With the firing of Maurice Cheeks on Sunday, CBS Sports is reporting that the Detroit Pistons are already on the hunt for their next head coach and could possibly be targeting Lionel Hollins due to the fact that he has a history of taking over teams midseason.
Coaching sources say Lionel Hollins is a prime target for DET and timing of Cheeks ouster due in part to fact Hollins currently unattached

Doesn’t mean Hollins is lock to take job, if offered, but Cheeks was first NBA coach fired this season, so DET searching unopposed right now

If hired by the Pistons, this will be Hollins’ fourth time in his coaching career to accept a job in the middle of the season.
