“Started from the bottomed now we’re here”
That’s what Tim Tebow’s old 1995 Ford Thunderbird is thinking right now. Tebow’s old college hoopty has received a long overdue face left and makeover. After months of hard work and revamping at racing legend Richard Petty’s garage in Level Cross, N.C., this old Thunderbird is now ready for a new track.
According to Jacksonville.com, the car wouldn’t ever start let alone be deemed as a street legal race car before arriving in Petty’s garage.
The car that wouldn’t start a few months ago is now a Gator-themed, Pro Touring Style street-legal race car — decked out in an eye-catching orange and blue custom paint job and Tebow’s No. 15 on each door.
“We’re excited to have this true one-of-a-kind vehicle to raise awareness and funds towards our mission to bring faith, hope and love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need,” said Erik Dellenback, executive director of the Tim Tebow Foundation. “From the moment we met Mr. Petty and his team, we knew they would make the perfect partner on this project.”
With proceeds benefiting the foundation’s “mission to bring Faith, Hope and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need,” this will auction off at a high value. This will be a nice conversation piece as well, especially if you’re a Tebow fan.
