Despite his reports on bullying, a lot of NFL players have come to back for Richie Incognito, the new player to speak in defense of him… 49ers Vernon Davis.

Vernon Davis made an appearance on Mike and Mike today and spoke about how much he liked Incognito.

“Richie Incognito is a great guy. I know him really well. When I heard about it, I didn’t think he would do anything to harm Jonathan Martin,” Davis said.

When asked about his feelings toward Jonathan Martin, his sentiments weren’t exactly the same.

“Jonathan Martin, you know, I don’t have anything negative to say about Jon Martin,” he said. “That has nothing to do with me.”

While Vernon has never played with Incognito directly, his brother Vontae has. Im sure the two have held a conversation about Incognito in light of his bullying in the locker room. ProFootballTalk brought up a very good point, Incognito had to be well liked since he was voted captain by his peers in Miami, but at what point do you differ between joking and bullying?
