The Wizards have had a problem getting over .500 since 2009. The players should be happy they finally got over the hump but according to their coach Randy Wittman, they were a little too excited with their celebration:
“Everybody’s kind of making a big deal [that] we’re over .500,” Wittman told LaVar and Dukes on 106.7 The Fan on Tuesday afternoon. “Holy crap. Let’s hope that’s not something we’re celebrating here. I want it to be something bigger than that. I want these guys to understand not so much we got over the hump, but why did we get over the hump, and how did we get over the hump, and how do we stay over the hump?
I understand Wittman’s bigger point here. They might make the playoffs though this year so thats something. Also lets be honest, the Wizards aren’t winning a title anytime soon so maybe they should be allowed to celebrate something.
