Don’t panic too much, Dodgers fans.
Yasiel Puig suffered a minor setback after he “overthrew” during workouts on his first day at camp causing inflammation in his right shoulder. This is believed to be the same kind of injury which bothered Puig last season.
Manager Don Mattingly insists that the injury isn’t serious, via CBS Sports:
“We don’t think it’s serious, but we need to find out,” Mattingly said, calling Puig’s reduced throwing “precautionary.”
Puig has since been put on a limited throwing program, and is partaking in BP and playing catch under the supervision of the team trainer.
Doesn’t seem serious at all.
